Amazon Ads management: campaign build, reporting and automation

Vexio works on Amazon Ads end to end. For Amazon Ads management, that means building the Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display structure from your catalogue, pulling Ads API reporting into your own warehouse and joining it to Selling Partner API sales data. Automation, agents and ongoing optimisation support sit on top.

The work

Five areas of Amazon Ads work.

Your scope is agreed in a scoping conversation. We publish no volumes, client names or results.

  • Account structure and campaign build

Campaign, ad group and target layout for Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display, built from your catalogue and checked row by row before upload.

  • Data pipelines and reporting

Ads API reports requested, polled and downloaded per profile, then loaded into BigQuery or PostgreSQL next to your sales data.

    Advertising data pipelines →
  • Automation

Scheduled jobs and rules for routine account work, such as budget checks and moving search terms that convert into keywords.

  • Agents and MCP

An agent that reads Amazon Ads performance through MCP tools and drafts bid and budget changes. A person approves before anything is sent.

    AI agents →
  • Ongoing optimisation support

Regular review of performance with your team and help acting on what the numbers show, agreed per engagement.

The platform

How an Amazon Ads account is organised.

Amazon Ads is the advertising service of Amazon. Sellers and brands use it to promote products in Amazon search results and on product pages, and to reach shoppers off Amazon.

In the platform's own terms

  • Campaigns belong to an ad type: Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands or Sponsored Display. Each type has its own targeting options and its own reports.
  • Inside a campaign, ad groups hold the advertised products and the targets, such as keywords, product targets or audiences.
  • In the Ads API every request is tied to a profile, which is one advertiser account in one marketplace. A seller in several countries works with several profiles.
  • ACoS divides ad spend by ad sales. TACoS divides it by total sales, so it needs sales data from outside the ad account.

The problem

Where Amazon Ads work goes wrong: spreadsheets, profiles and marketplaces.

A catalogue of hundreds of products with a few keyword and bid variations each reaches thousands of rows fast. Teams build and revise campaigns in spreadsheets and upload them in bulk, so one wrong match type or bid column can spread across a whole account.

Amazon Ads and Selling Partner API data in your warehouse.

We request reports through the Amazon Ads API, poll until each one is ready, clean it and load it into BigQuery or PostgreSQL in your account. Selling Partner API sales data lands beside it, so ACoS and TACoS come from one place. If you need near-real-time data, we cover Amazon Marketing Stream while scoping. Each pipeline is built per engagement. See advertising data pipelines (ETL) and the article Amazon Ads API reporting explained.

What we do

What Vexio does on Amazon Ads.

The work follows your catalogue and your accounts. Related: AI agents and the campaign builder for bulk campaign upload.

  • Design campaign structure for each Amazon ad type from your catalogue, and check every row of the upload file before it reaches Amazon.
  • Build the Ads API reporting pipeline: request, poll and download reports per profile, clean them and load them into your warehouse.
  • Join ad spend to Selling Partner API sales so ACoS and TACoS are calculated from one table.
  • Build agents and MCP tools that read performance and draft bid and budget changes for your approval, and support optimisation over time.
FAQ

Questions on Amazon Ads management.

Vexio works on Amazon Ads end to end: campaign structure and build, reporting, automation and ongoing optimisation support. What your engagement includes is agreed in a scoping conversation. If you only need the data side, we can build just the Ads API reporting pipeline.

The Amazon Ads API lets software request performance reports for an advertiser profile. You create a report, wait until it is ready, then download it. Vexio builds that flow, cleans the output and loads it into your warehouse. Our article on Amazon Ads API reporting covers profiles, auth and the report flow.

The Amazon Ads API covers advertising: campaigns, targets and ad performance. The Selling Partner API covers the seller business: orders, sales and inventory. A metric like TACoS needs both, so a pipeline loads them side by side. See Amazon SP-API vs Amazon Ads API.

Vexio works on Amazon PPC as a service, not as a subscription tool. That covers campaign build, Ads API reporting, automation and agents that draft changes for your approval. Tell us about your account on the demo form and we reply with how we would approach it.
